Semester Goals Reflection & New Goals

**Click on the link to comment anonymously. Students are unable to login as of yet.

1) Describe how well you accomplished each of the three goals you set at the beginning of fall semester.
Indicate your student ID, Orchestra, and class period before your entry. (Follow the example)
Retype each goal, followed by your reflection.

2) Set three goals for this semester. Remember to be specific!

*To find your submission from the fall, go to the discussion thread, type Ctrl+F, then type in your student ID number.

Example:
32578 Orchestra 1 (Period 5)
Fall Goals
1) Keep my right pinky rounded and flexible.
-I reminded myself to check my pinky 70% of the time for the first two weeks. My pinky is still not rounded all the time, but I improved in that I remember to think about it when I practice at     home but not in class.
2) Have excellent intonation on all half steps by being aware of my finger spacing.
-My second finger has improved in 1st position immensely. It is now either touching the first finger or the third finger and not floating in between the two.
3) Be able to count and play syncopated rhythms with a metronome without help from others.
-I can now write down the counting for, clap, and subdivide any syncopated rhythm involving half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes. I still get confused with some sixteenth note passages.
Spring Semester Goals
1) Stop playing and not talk when Miss Chen stops conducting. Listen more attentively.
2) Play with more dynamic variance, using more of my bow and not getting stuck in the upper half.
3) Improve my intonation in third position.
